METRO LEXUS immediately needs a professional and outgoing Parts Counter Associate to support our dealership. We provide a great pay plan (good salary + generous bonus), supportive management, and a great place to work in a convenient Cleveland location. Qualified candidates must have 1-2 years’ experience, high school diploma or GED, be able to pass a background check, hair follicle drug screen going back six months, have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. EOE M/V/F/D.

 Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock.
  • Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
  • Notify all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been received.
  • Pull orders for delivery to shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ related auto dealership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • ADP experience a definite plus
  • Computer & phone skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Has a valid driver’s license. Is legally able to work in the United States.
