METRO LEXUS needs an experienced automotive Parts Manager to join and lead our Parts team. This is a management level role so we are looking for someone with at least 5-8 years of automotive Parts Manager experience. This person must be a team player and have the dealership’s best interest in mind.
Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Parts Department under the leadership of the GM will support the process to satisfy customer demands for Lexus and other vehicles by providing parts and services to customers that will exceed their expectations. The Manager will 1) operate a profitable, state-of-the art parts department to supply parts to the Service Department, the Body Shop, and outside customers, 2) develop and maintain excellent business relations with customers, and 3) ensure that associates work productively and safely. The Manager also will take action to enhance cross-functional coordination, expand internal communications, and develop the parts department associates at KW #1.

1. Lead, motivate, reward, and develop parts department associates. 2. Work closely with management and other departments to ensure harmonious and productive operations and maximize the success of KW #1. Provide management with forecasts and operating data. 3. Manage a profitable, safe, and efficient state-of-the-art parts department. Develop, update, and monitor operating policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Develop plans to increase revenue. Track labor costs; minimize overtime. Ensure associates work productively. 4. Order parts and accessories from Lexus and approved after-market suppliers. · Locate parts and accessories; secure the best price; ensure proper quality. · Place parts in inventory; enter into database; and monitor inventory levels. · Verify payables and receivables; coordinate payments with Office Manager. · Conduct periodic audits to verify number and value of parts on hand. 5. Coordinate wholesale account activities (order, receive, bill, and ship). 6. Monitor sales activities. 7. Oversee parts delivery operations. 8. Provide exceptional service to customers. Ensure associates solve customer problems. Personally handle major problems. Track customer satisfaction. 9. Ensure that associates wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 10. Conduct periodic safety inspections. Reinforce safety training. Emphasize: First Aid/CPR; Fire Prevention; Preventing Slips and Falls, Proper Bending and Lifting, “Right to Know;” and Use of PPE. 11. Fully coordinate and communicate actions within KW #1. |

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
COMPLIANCE
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with KW #1 policies, Lexus operating standards, and applicable federal and state laws.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common automotive and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
