Sales Porter (Full Time) - Toyota of Greensburg

Toyota of Greensburg is looking for a full-time Sales Porter.  The Sales Porter under the leadership of the Sales Management will support the process to satisfy customer demands for vehicles by assisting customers with vehicle technology features for all vehicles.  The Sales Porter will also satisfy customer demands for Toyota and other vehicles by providing detailed vehicle cleaning services for customers that will exceed their expectations. 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Present vehicle technology products in an effective manner that ensures customer understanding.
  2. Maintain a high degree of product and technical knowledge. Conduct continuous research and maintain a collection of product and technical information.
  3. Resolve customer inquiries for vehicle technology issues.
  4. Troubleshoot Vehicle Technology features.
  5. Assist customers in the delivery of their vehicles and personalize those deliveries to their needs including.
  6. Assist in the design of the training curriculum.
  7. Pro-actively engage with customers who visit the dealership to answer questions and respond to concerns.
  8. Pro-actively collaborate with the Sales department to assist customers with their technology concerns by appointment.
  9. Oversee deliveries for the sales team ensuring proper information is explained.
  10. Detail the vehicles by:
    1. Clean and detail all new or pre-owned vehicles prior to delivery to customers.
    2. Washes exterior to clean vehicle, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.  Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and reserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine. Applies special purpose cleaners and sprays exterior to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of product manufacturer.
    3. Cleans upholstery, floor mats, carpet area, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agent applicators, and cleaning devices.
    4. Assist in cleaning and removing coatings and protective sheets used on new vehicles.
    5. Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
    6. Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treat fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals.
    7. Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
  11. Pick up new and pre-owned vehicles as directed; drive to car wash area.  Move vehicles around the lot as directed.
  12. Drop off and pick-up customers or loan vehicles as directed.
  13. Help maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area including: Clean machinery and equipment used in Car Wash/Detail process and work and drive safely at all times.
  14. Use shop equipment and tools safely.
  15. Wear required personal protective equipment: clothing, footwear, gloves, masks, safety glasses, etc. as required.
  16. Dispose of cleaners, waxes, and any hazardous wastes properly.

Qualifications:

  1. Must meet the company's requirements for employment including having a valid drivers license.
  2. Demonstrate exceptional technical skills.
  3. Demonstrate planning and coordinating skills.
  4. Is able to communicate effectively – orally and in writing.
  5. Understand Toyota customer satisfaction measurements.
