Diagnostic Specialist Automotive Technician (Full Time) - Metro Lexus

METRO LEXUS is looking for a Diagnostic Specialist/Technician.  Competitive Pay. State of the art equipment. Great position with opportunity for advancement. Previous diagnostic/technician experience required. 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide monthly Technical Conference calls from TMS to all the dealer technicians.
  • Provide Dealer Product Reports to TMC / TMS concerning product quality issues and customer concerns with Lexus vehicles.
  • Advise technicians on new Technical Service Information Bulletins and Special Service Campaigns when they arise.
  • Aid technicians in diagnosis including training and coaching.
  • Involvement with technician and ASM on “Could not Duplicate”, “Fixed Right the First Time” and “Test Drive”.
  • Provide frequent assistance to the ASM with customer concerns.
  • Assist Parts Department with outside repair facility questions. 
  • Assist the Client Care Center with customer concerns that are being addressed over the phone.
  • Update vehicle service charts that are used by service department team members.
  • Ensure tools are available and in proper working order including maintaining an inventory of tools not normally supplied by the Service Department.
  • With input from other technicians, determine need for additional tools.
  • Work safely; comply with all safety rules.  Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area. Use shop equipment and tools safely.  Wear required protective equipment: clothing, footwear, safety glasses, etc.
  • Dispose of all wastes properly —particularly any special or hazardous wastes.
  • Report all accidents. Further, report any situation or condition that could jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of Lexus, associates, or customers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years of business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Has valid driver’s license.   Is legally able to work in the United States.
